A birthday wish my baby girl

 

Every year, before the 1st of Jun,     the heart beats faster than otherwise
beats faster than the clock
    beats slower than the winds outside
beats louder than the sound of the world
    reminds me of the most lovely gift god gave me
the most pristine flower any garden has ever seen
    the most fragrant of all virtues
the most lasting of all fragrances
    the most important gift that God didn't give me at birth
a daisy baby girl to illuminate the hallways of my heart

... Which every now and then, douses in darkness of mundane
which every now and then, shrouds in the chill of apathy
    which every now and then stops beating .. if not you!
